Who We Are
The Haramoun Center Association for Rehabilitation and Care, located in Rashaya District (established on August 24,2016, 1733 AD) is concerned with the rehabilitation of children with special needs, and the care of orphans and needy children.
Our center includes two main departments affiliated with one administration that follows up on the centers affairs through a team of specialized administrators, educators, and therapists.
In addition to rehabilitation academic and vocational education, the Special Needs Department provides all related services, as it includes: a special department for autism – a physical therapy center – a clinic for treating speech problems – an occupational therapy clinic, and a psychotherapy clinic.
These clinics provides their services to the children of the center as well as to the people of the region and all citizens.
The centers’ services extend beyond the scope of Rashaya district to other districts, as beneficiaries also visit it from the districts of Western Bekaa, Central Bekaa, Hasbaya and Marjayon.
The center includes a workshop to produce local soap, with contributions from the centers’ children.
The number of children registered in the Special Need Department is 60 children who suffer from various disabilities, such as autism disorder, severe and mild mental retardation, hearing disabilities and others. 40 of them attend classes daily, and 20 others visit the center to receive treatment.
As for the home for Orphans and the Needy the number of children in it is 25 male and female students. The home hosts them with a number of mothers throughout the week and provides them with all care services.
The Haramoun Rehabilitation and Care Association is a non-profit charitable association that does not charge its beneficiaries allowances or registration fees. It is contracted with Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Health. It receives some donation and contributions from philanthropists.
